Mauricio Mercado sadly passed away this week peacefully in his sleep.  He had a rapid decline in health after being diagnosed with terminal brain cancer only 2 months ago.

Mauricio was one of our actors at Boss and we adored him!

Originally from El Salvadore Mauricio wanted more than anything to act and be a full time working actor.  Never was there anyone so focused, determined and tenacious!  He lived and breathed his characters so much so that sometimes he even forgot they were ‘roles’.  I remember him practicing his audition for the role of Victor Escalante for Human Target, a dashing South American dictator!  Victor Escalante WAS Mauricio!  He told EVERYONE, ‘I AM VICTOR ESCALANTE!’ and he meant it! 

His gorgeous smile, wonderful charm and warm heart were his calling cards and how we will fondly remember this dear man.
